Make a Statement with a Floppy Hat in your Senior Photos
Hello seniors!! I am so excited to start helping you with picking awesome outfits to rock your senior photos! Choosing the right outfit is so important for a successful photo shoot, so I have decided I am going to start putting together outfits that will photograph well, and flatter different body types. I will be putting outfit ideas together so you can get some ideas, and I will also be listing where I got each item of the outfit from, in case you just have to have that outfit! With spring right around the corner (hopefully) I will start putting together some fun spring and summer outfits that will make your senior photos really stand out! I want every one of my senior clients to feel beautiful and confident in their photos, so this is how I am going to try and help you out.
I am also offering a personal shopping trip with every senior collection whether it be in stores, your closet, or mine, we will make sure to put some flattering outfits together just for you!
So today's blog post is all about the floppy hat. Yes! That is right, I am obsessed with floppy hats right now, and I can't think of a better way to accessorize your outfit than to throw a floppy hat on. Almost any outfit looks perfect paired with a cute hat. Whether you have short hair or long hair, you will look great in a floppy hat.
So lets start by talking about the top left outfit. This outfit is perfect for those who have a more casual feminine style. I love the turquoise and gold necklace (Bella Ella Boutique) that adds some color to this adorable white lace shirt (Bell Ella Boutique). In the back of the shirt there is a zipper that goes about a quarter of the way down the back. Pairing the white lace shirt with a fun colored skinny jean (Hope Avenue) brings the outfit all together. And of course, throwing on a floppy hat (Target) in black, grey, or purple will make your photos really pop!
Top right outfit- This outfit is for the feminine, shabby chic girl. I love the blue, pink and purple printed kimono with the lace trim (Target) that will really make you stand out from your background. Under is a light pink, light weight flowy t-shirt (Hope Avenue). Paired with a light tan/white skinny jean makes this soft pastel outfit come together in a pretty way. Don't forget a rose colored crystal necklace (Bohme) and of course a floppy hat (Target) to bring the whole outfit together.
Bottom left outfit- I recommend a casual and dressier outfit for your senior photos. This bright floral print maxi dress (Bohme) will really make you stand out in your photos! This dress just screams summer! Throw a solid light weigh cardigan over the top to tone down the busy print and a pair of red or yellow sandals and you will be golden, but don't forget your floppy hat! (Target)
Bottom right outfit- This simple outfit will bring a casual pretty feel to your photos. Solid colors always photograph well! With a simple light weight, light pink flowy t-shirt (Hope Avenue) make sure to have some fun accessories to pair it with. Here I doubled up and layered the two necklaces (Bella Ella Boutique & Bohme) to add some personality and to top it, add a floppy hat! (Target)
All of these outfits would go great with a bold wedge or a simple sandal.
I hope these fun outfits give you some ideas of what looks great in photos. I want to help each senior bring out their style and personality in their outfits, so I will continue to put together different styles. Lesson for today, don't forget to accessorize! And remember a floppy hat is the perfect way to add personality and make you stand out in your senior portraits. Everyone looks good in a floppy hat;)
